Formula, example and standard
1 module = 60 cm = 50 people · min exit 80 cm
Example with the starting values (Number of people: 100): Exit width: 120 cm (2 modules). Escape stairs: min 120 cm.
- Standard module 60 cm = 50 people (DM 3/8/2015, the Italian fire code, V.6).
- Single emergency exit: at least 80 cm.
- Escape stairs: 120 cm minimum for occupancy > 50 people.
